Bodie's story is so sad.
His family went camping at a campsite and when they left, they left both
Bodie and his sister Emily (whom has since been adopted) at the campsite just like they were the trash.
I can not imagine how they must have felt alone in the middle of the woods.
A person visiting the campsite worked for weeks to get their trust in order
to save them. As you can imagine, the trust when we got them was very hard
to gain however now that we have it, you can not ask for a more
devoted dog. I must say, I did not hold out a lot of hope for them
however now I LOVE these dogs. He is so devoted and loving.
Within a week, he began to come around. Bodie gets along well with the

this little 2 year old, 15 pound Terrier/Chihuahua mix is pure
sweetness to her owners! You can not ask for a more devoted

Julie's former adoptive owner she was allowed to become the alpha
however since returning to rescue she now looks to her humans to
keep her safe and we have not had one problem. This dog is
very gentle and sweet and would excel in a home especially where she
was the only dog and she had all the attention. Her new owner
should be willing to work with Julie. Julie does not get along
with other dogs but again she looks to us for reassurance. In
Julie's former adoptive home she was good with the young children
however because of her tendency to be fear aggressive, we are

HOME. Hello, my name is Ky and my foster mom believes I may
be a long hair Chihuahua mix. I weigh about 8 lbs so I am
very small. My foster Mom believes I am about 2 years
old. I love to have my people near me and do best when
they are around. My foster Mom believes that I would
be fine in a family with older children since I am very
small, she is afraid that those little people might fall on
me and hurt me. My foster Mom is proud that I seem to
get along with dogs of all sizes. (Shhhh, don't tell
anyone, right now I am laying with my friend, a chocolate
lab). My foster Mom says that she will take me to the
vet soon to be neutered. ( I am not sure that is a fun thing
but she tells me it is a good thing for me because I cant
make any babies and it is better for me healthwise).
My foster Mom had the vet come and give me some shots. I did
not really like that but again my foster Mom tells me she
wants me to stay healthy. Wow, there is a lot to do
when I live in a home where people want me to stay healthy.

Memphis is a young yellow lab mix that we believe is 1-2 yrs
of age. Memphis came to us from a shelter in SW VA. He
is one of those types of dogs that is just fun to be around.
Just take a look at the video. Memphis loves to be
outside and play. He is one of the last ones to come in the
house. Memphis gets along with children however we would
suggest that because of his size, older children would be
better suited for this wonderful dog. Memphis is also good

Ryder is just one of those dogs that you toss your hands up
and say, "Exactly what are you"? He just looks at you
as if to say, "I am a dog, stupid and I don't care what type
of dog I am, I just need a home to call my own". Ryder
was rescued from a shelter in SW VA. We have no
background information on him only that he came to the
shelter and is now in search of his forever home.
Ryder lives with several dogs of all sizes and seems to get
along with everyone. Ryder as you can see loves to hang out
and bask in the sunshine. He is also the first to find
a "snuggie" and cuddle. He seems very laid back and is
extremely willing to do whatever it is that you ask of him.
